Library Policy

Our books are precious manifestations of our tradition.

Previously mainly oral, and hidden, knowledge of paganism, Wicca, and witchcraft is now much more widely available.

Something to celebrate and something to care for.

Please treat these books as a resource to be shared by all.

If there is a specific book you’d like to read, ask us if we have it!

Our Library is managed by Alethia Mercy and she is happy to answer any questions!

All books are shelved by subject. There is a booklist by author to search that way if you like and a borrow/return sheet to track what’s checked out and returned.

Please use a bookmark to mark your place. Turning down pages or leaving a book lying flat damages it. Unlike us, books don’t have flexible spines.

Do your best not to drop crumbs between the pages or read while your hands are dirty. (Why is it always brownies?) Again, if the book is yours, chomp away!

If you are about to drop a book onto a dry surface, don’t try to catch it. Let it fall. You can do more damage to the spine from grabbing it. If it’s about to fall in hot lava, that’s a different story!

Please keep books away from high humidity. This means no languid reads in the tub, sadly. Unless the book is yours, of course. Then soak away!

Only write in books that are your own. Please don’t write in library books.

Share Point

Accidents happen. If evil befalls a book while it’s in your care, just let Angel or Aleitheia Mercy know. Nothing lasts forever, or we’d be awash in scrolls and clay tablets.
